LEGO DUPLO Large Building Plates Set (Toy)
We looked all over town for extra plates to use with BIG legos and our
mega bloks. They come with small plates in the sets but no one had
LARGE plates for the BIG legos, only for the tiny legos which are not
compatible with the duplo series. I inquired with the company as one
person said returns on this product were a hassle. The company
responded quickly to assure me these are the ones compatible with the
large legos. Upon receiving the product they were indeed what I
expected but wow 15x15" looks a lot larger in person, as one reviewer
stated, storing these can be pain, especially considering they are not a
durable THICK base like the small plates that come in sets, no these
are a very thin base, easy to snap and break. Will have to add "build
lego table" to the honey-do list :). Other than the complaint that they
are so flimsy the purpose is exactly what I was needing to expand our
creative building!
Why does it cost this much?
It's great for the kids because it helps organize their play
but is there any reason besides it being LEGO that this needs to cost
more than $5.00? It's a piece of plastic that costs them less than 25
cents in materials.
These are great for the duplo blocks and my grandson who is 3 and my
grandaughter who is 20months love building using these. The only
problem is they are not as sturdy as the lego plates or the plate that
came with a set of duplo's I bought. However overall they are great and
keep the kids busy.
Getting a hold of large building plates for Lego Duplo is anything but
easy. I have not come across a store anywhere locally that stocks them.
Arrived quickly, well packed and the kids think they are great.
